Duracoat v.s. Armacoat

Over the past couple of months I\\\\\\\'ve done up a few firearms for myself or customers using either Duracoat or Armacoat products and while this isn\\\\\\\'t going to be an in-depth review of the products, I thought I\\\\\\\'d aware some observations and thoughts... More »

Rosewill Brightens the Future

Hello world!

Welcome Sennheiser!

Over at BCCHardware, we are planning on doing a lot more video coverage – in addition to our audio coverage and interviews we do with WeeklyTechUpdate.  This means that we have a few more audio needs and one of those has been good audio that is portable.  After a few discussions with Sennheiser Canada (German-engineered audio company), we are in the possession of the ew 100-ENG G3 kit as well as a e 835 microphone.  These pieces allow us to get some pretty impressive audio that plugs into my own Nikon D600 SLR.  A the end of the day, the support of Sennheiser really helps take BCCHardware up a few notches.

We are grateful for all the companies that have supported us over the years and look forward to working with Sennheiser for reviews, projects and live coverage in 2013 and beyond.

Make sure to check out my alter-ego sites BCCHardware and WeeklyTechUpdate as we will be covering some events and cool tech stuff in the very near future!

CES 2013 Belated Update

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a complete and total nerd. It is primarily for this reason that BCCHardware.com is my hobby, my job and my passion. This year I was able to once again take some of my fellow BCCHardware Analysts and head down to Las Vegas in January to visit the Consumer Electronics Show. As always, Jason Schneider headed down and for the first time, our App Pick of the Week columnist and Photo Editor was able to attend as well.

Once again, we participated in the Tiger Direct Build-A-PC-Race for Charity and this time – BCCHardware (and Canada) took home the gold.  That’s right, yours truly was able to edge out the 2011 winner – Stephen Fung of FutureLooks and broke a “world record” by building and booting a PC into Windows in under 4:00 minutes.  My exact time was 3:53 seconds.  The best part about this is that I snagged the grand price cash and PC award and secured a $10,000 prize for the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary.  This is awesome!
