Dusted off the .308 topped with the #leupoldoptics 6.5-20x50 VX-3i LRP to do a bit of intermediate distance plinking today. 200m-800m is in the books and dead on thanks to the Hornady ELD-M 168gr pills. It was a bit drizzly and windy, so what better time to have a bit of a session at the range.

Took a bit of a ride while waiting for the last bit of the crop to ripen. Headed down to Livingston area for a bit of a solo ride. There is some beautiful country in this great land, and it was much needed to unplug from the politics, social manipulation and hate that is ramping up in this country.

Early morning stage from Saturday at the 2021 Alberta IPSC Provincial match. The glare on the optic was real... It was a bit harder to find targets in the glare and I didn't have the confidence to tape over the optic like some jocks.

Alberta 2021 IPSC Provincial Championships are in the books and day 1 was plagued with many metal errors which in turn translated into a 7th place at the end of day 1. I managed to pull together my mental game and spend more time visualizing and this netted me moving up 2 places on day 2 to finish 5th in the province in the Open Division.

I couldn't bring home gold in any division, but I had a great time shooting Canadian Nationals Steel Challenge on the weekend. Scored 2x Silver in Production and Rimfire Pistol Irons. For never having competed in any way with my shorty stock Glock 19x, I did pretty solid when I was just breaking it in. After the match, it now has about 400 rounds through it!
