We took a few minutes tonight and had a bit of fun trying some hadouken-style photography.  The final result is below, but there are several things to know before trying this for yourself.

1) Most kids aren’t actors.  By that I mean that while they can pretend to be sick to stay home from school, something like this is too much fun to keep a serious face on throughout the shoot.

2) Patience is key.  ’nuff said.

3) Camera shutter speed should be around 1/60th of a second in order to get some motion blur.  This gives a sence of fast-paced action and makes for a better shot.

4) Have fun.  These shots won’t be used for Christmas cards (not likely anyhow), but they are fun to flip through later.  Enjoy taking them, making them and sharing them.
