CoolIT Systems Interview & More

I just finished up a bit of an interesting interview, shop tour and Q&A session with Geoff Lyon of CoolIT Systems in Calgary Alberta.  They touched a few of their current products, where they’ve come from and even dropped a few hints regarding what we can expect from them in the future.  We’ve chopped the interview into several sections for you to peruse, and you can catch them over at qik.com/bcchardware.

In the meantime, check out the video clip from inside their QC Lab posted above.

BCCHardware has actually reviewed quite a few of their products and have just been given a new one to try out.  A full review will be posted over at the site in a few weeks, and I’ll have some teaser pics to post up in the near future as well.

That’s about it for now. If you want a chance to win some cool gear from CoolIT Systems, make sure you head on over and sign up for VulcLAN as this year we are giving away almost $5000 in prizes to gamers in Vulcan on March 13-15.

Come to VulcLAN!!

Over at BCCHardware, we’ve wrapped up details regarding our annual March LANParty.  This year we are bringing back the “VulcLAN” in Vulcan, Alberta and are going for a record number of people.  We have some confirmed sponsors already and are sure to have a lot of prizes available again this year viagra est marche.  Last we we gave out an incredible $3,000+ in prizes to 40 people and this year we are hoping to do even better.

At this point our scheduled tournaments are going to be UnrealTournament 2004, Call of Duty 4 and possibly Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat Mod.  We will be updating the VulcLAN page as the event gets closer with more details.  Please head on over and sign up here if you’re interested.  There will be people coming from Western Canada and the USA so make sure you’re there for the fun.

If you’ve been following the latest LAN party thread over at the BCCHardware Forums, you may be interested to see what’s going on.  We managed to get 11 people in a small garage and have had a ton of fun playing Unreal Tournament 2004, and some other games.  No one is really sporting anything too crazy, but there is a couple of large (30″+) monitors on what we call desks/tables and such.

The desks have been put together with some plywood and 2×4’s and it’s been fun to get back into an old-school LAN.  Make sure you check out the Flickr photostream for all the pics.
