A while back nVidia bought out Aegia and started developing Physx themselves. For those of you not in the know, in-game physics help with realism – not necessarily performance. This gives the consumer a great “feel” for the game and help build more immersive gameplay. Before nVidia bought up Aegia, separate hardware was required to play these Physx enabled titles. Now things are changing for the better and nVidia has enabled Physx on their 9800+/GTX 2×0 series cards and the latest of these cards in the 8800 series cards which have been added today.

I will be trying out some new Physx enabled UT3 maps with all the proper drivers and reporting my results. I’ve been a fan of the Unreal Tournament series for years, and this could make playing the game a little more enjoyable once again. Stay tuned,
